The new „Midcentury Muse“ line offers day & festive looks custom designed for you. It builds the bridge between the day wear and festive collections with its fixed designs and the couture line that exclusively offers luxury, bespoke evening gowns.
LUXURY
Each look is designed as a one-of-a-kind. The design created by PRETTIE LANES might be reproduced for other clients, yet never in the same fabric/color. So your garment remains a one-of-a-kind combination of material and colorway at any time. No one else will own your exact look that as well is expertly tailored to your individual measurements.

HOW TO COMMISSION
If you have a finished version of a desired look ready in mind, a classic tailoring studio will be the best choice BUT if you are open to realizing your dream look in the signature PRETTIE LANES aesthetic, the design atelier and in-house tailoring studio "MidCentury Muse" is the perfect choice for you.
Be the muse who influences the design and leaves just the right amount of artistic freedom on PRETTIE LANES` side to create your individual, breathtaking day dress, cocktail dress, hat, suit, or coat. True vintage fashions, photographies, textiles & more are always welcome as a beautiful inspiration for the design especially created for you.
Custom design commission spots are limited per month. If all spots are taken, new bookings are available within the next booking period stated on this page. There will be no wait list. If you wish to book a custom commission, it is recommended to order as early as possible to secure your place in line. There are two ways to commission a custom design:

Choose the free consultation below and PRETTIE LANES will come back to you within 24hours by email. Please note, a consultation does not guarantee a place in the manufacturing schedule.
Included in your custom commission order (after free consultation, respectively included in your direct order):

2 design sketches created by PRETTIE LANES to choose from (sent to you by email), taking into consideration all the details and wishes you mentioned during the first consultation and listing all features of the looks in detail

a choice of fabrics matching your chosen category and ideas

if applicable: adjustments to your chosen design to meet your wishes

if applicable: adjustments to the material/ additional fabric choices
- your look is custom tailored to your measurements
Once agreed upon your custom design, materials and details, the remaining(!) balance is invoiced (deposit will be deducted from the amount due).
Adjusting creations is always possible during the design process. The ‚MidCentury Muse‘ Design Atelier will make your dreams come true, while featuring the signature PRETTIE LANES look and feel. A close communication is key and always welcomed, prioritizing your wishes, while keeping the overall brand aesthetic that made you choose PRETTIE LANES for this project.
TURNAROUND TIMES
Manufacturing times, including the design process, depend on your time schedule, due/event date, material and chosen style but are regularly between 5-8 weeks or more.
NOT OFFERED AT THE DESIGN ATELIER:
No vintage reproductions (copies). As a design atelier PRETTIE LANES welcomes true vintage inspirations at any time to create your very own, unique version. Because who wants to have a copy, when you can have an original made just for you!
No bridal fashions.
No looks other than 1940s, 1950s, early 1960s.
No tailoring based on sketches by other designers.
No pure tailoring service (without design process).
