Beautiful Cotton dress in shades of a vintage (muted) Pistachio/Sage Green, Dark Pistachio Green, Dark Red, Pink, Black and Off-White (see fabric detail photo for best color representation).

 

The dress is made of a pure Cotton fabric that was hand-blocked with a floral, Tulip pattern - a traditional and impressive artisan craftwork that no machine can imitate and that results in one-of-a-kind patterns and signature variance of the separately, carefully hand-blocked colors and elements. A labor of love and wearable art.* 

 

The dress features a gathered bust section in the front, short sleeves in a pleated design  or sleeveless version, a gathered skirt and a head-turning low back neckline (yet high enough to wear a regular bra underneath).

 

Lined bodice, back, lapped metal zipper. Skirt unlined. Authentic invisibly (hand-) sewn hems, facings and details all-over. Classic midi length (see sizing table) or custom length (Free of charge 0,00CHF). Dress shown with a light petticoat - not included.

 

Optional (separately orderable -choose from customization listing): Matching belt (hand-crochet belt loops). The dress looks perfect without a belt too - you could also adorn this dress with i.e. a Black Velvet bow or floral accessories (See pictures. For inspiration only.).

 

Optional (choose from customization listing): Matching, Off-White underskirt (gathered A-line with volant hem) made of medium-weight, opaque, nubby Rayon fabric - just like back in the days. The material is breathable and antistatic, so a comfortable, meaningful addition to any look as there is no clinging of the skirt (and hence upper dress) on your nylons and it adds weight, texture to the skirt of the dress. When worn together with a petticoat/crinoline, the underskirt should be below all layers (crinoline "sandwiched" between dress and underskirt). Hook and eye closure. Matching dress fabric decorative bow. Skirt length 4cm/1,5inch shorter than your dress size for an optimal look.

100% Cotton. Lining: 100% Cotton. Underskirt: 100% Rayon.

 

All hand-blocked fabrics have been pre-washed. Professional clean or gentle handwash 30°C. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Iron medium heat. Don’t use too much steam. Let fully dry after steaming. Always wash with zipper closed.

 

* Tiny irregularities like sprinkles, overlappings in the pattern and color fusing are what makes these fabrics so charismatic, authentic to vintage and demonstrate the individuality of each yard of these hand-blocked fabrics made by experienced artisans in India.

The fabric has no stretch. Please note: The measurements stated in the table below are the measurements of the finished, fitted garment.

Which size to choose depends on whether your prefer a more loose or close fit. Please choose your dress size by your bust size. The waist size can be customized if needed (choose from customization list).

 

The sizes listed refer to your bust size. A size 36 has a final garment measurement of 36,5" in the bust. This means = best fit for a max bust measurement of 36" + 0,5" wiggle room.  If you have a bust of 36,5" you may size up if you do not prefer a snug fit. Please do not mix up with EU sizes - these are calculated differently.
