    The size charts on each product page state the measurements of the finished garment as well as fit recommendations. PRETTIE LANES does not use fabrics that include Elasthane/Spandex/Stretch because these are non-biodegradable plastics as well as not authentic to the midcentury era. 


    Please compare the measurements with yours to find your correct size depending on how you wish the garment to fit. If you need additional measurements to the ones stated, please do not hesitate to contact Prettie Lanes by email to info@prettielanes.com or by using the contact form.

     

    Recommendation:

    If you are unsure about the measurements of a garment, you can easily get a better image of the fit by using a measuring tape, adjusting it to the measurement stated in the product description, holding it onto your body/wrapping it around your body and getting a "feeling" if its too loose or too snug for you.

     

    Customization:

    If your are ordering a standard size there are  customization options available for a small fee or even free of charge. If you need more individualizations or are outside of the regular sized range, please order a made to measure garment for the perfect fit. Any size can be manufactured at Prettie Lanes. 


    Custom skirt length: always free of charge.


    Custom waist measurement: Free of charge since 2023. A standard size would be the perfect fit except for the waist measurement? Prettie Lanes got you covered! Just choose "custom waist" from the drop down navigation on the product page you wish to order and leave a "note to seller" during checkout with your desired final waist measurement.


    Custom torso length: You are very tall or short? No problem! Choose "custom bodice length" from the drop down navigation on the product page you wish to order and leave a "note to seller" during checkout with your desired final waist height and back length measurements. Find the exact way how to measure these here (#8 and #12).

    A made-to-measure piece is not only created by your bust/waist/hip measurement (which would equal a custom size yet not a made to measure) but by numerous measurements to create your bespoke,  exact pattern for your garment.
